Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of agricultural credit, consumption per capita, and gross regional domestic product on poverty in Southern Sumatera. The data used is secondary data with a research period of five years, namly 2015-2019. The research was carried out using panel data regression with Random Effect Model (REM) estimation as the choosen model. The result showed that: a) Agricultural credit and consumption per capita had no significant effect on the number of poor people, while GRDP per capita had a significant effect; b) Based on the REM estimation result, only GRDP per capita has a significant negative effect of - 0.012245 on the number of poor people in Southern Sumatera, while other variables have an insignificant positive effect.
