Abstract
The research was conducted in Phytopathological Laboratory and greenhouse of Plant Pest and Disease Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University from June 2006 up to February 2007. The objective of this study was to compare biocontrol potential of a mixture formulations of Trichoderma mycoparasitic Trichoderma isolates with commercial formulations against Rigidoporus lignosus. The study used three isolates of white root fungus. Tested Trichoderma formulations were solid formulation of four Trichoderma virens isolates, liquid formulation of four T. virens isolates, Greemi-G, Glio, and Antimur. Experimental was arranged in ten replications, each replication consisted of one rubber seedling. The result showed that solid formulation of four T. virens isolates more effectively suppressed white root disease than Trichoderma liquid formulation, Greemi-G, Glio, and Antimur. Solid formulation suppressed disease severity to 50.4%, tap root necrosis 75%, mycelial viability 50%, seedling mortality 80%, inoculum viability 65.1%, also increased shoot height achieve 5.8 mm per week. Tested Trichoderma formulations showed differences in ability to suppressed white root disease caused by distinct isolates of R. lignosus.
