Abstract

LINIEAR UTILITY FUNCTION OF THE WIRELESS INTERNET SERVICE FINANCING SCHEME MODEL WITH MARGINAL COSTS AND SUPERVISION COSTS Sari Ernawati NIM : 08011381722108 ABSTRACT Internet Service Provider (ISP) is a company that provides internet connection services. Quality of Service (QoS) is the ability of a network to provide good service by providing network capacity, overcoming jitter and delay. Wireless Sensor Network is a network that is formed from how many sensor nodes are individual, which are placed in one place to regulate the state of the network that is interacting with the surrounding environment. Model and compare internet financing schemes with optimal results based on linear utility functions with the addition of marginal costs and supervision costs based on flat-fee, usage-based, and two-part tariff financing schemes for homogeneous consumers and heterogeneous consumers using the differential method are steps in conducting research. The utility function is also usually related to the level of user satisfacton with the use of internet network services that are used, especially by maximizing which is limited by the number of variables that can be used in optimization of problem consumer i ( i=1,2 ),two service classes j (j=1,2 ), and two networks k (k=1,2 ). The data in this study were taken from digilib traffic data obtained from the local server. This data is also grouped into two, namely data during peak hours and data during off-peak hours, data during peak hours start at (07.00 – 17.00) Indonesian Time and data during off-peak hours start at (19.00 – 05.00) Indonesian Time. The total usage during peak hours is 1,790,996.00 bit with the average usage per month is 2,984,993.33 bit or 0.36 kilobytes per second (kbps). While the total usage during off-peak hours is 1,657,340.00 bit with an average monthly value of 2,762,233.33 bit or 33,71 kbps. Therefore, the most optimal homogeneous and heterogeneous consumer problem financing scheme is based on the flat-fee financing scheme.
