Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the best size of wrapping papaya fruit specified by size of fruit to reduce the attack of fruit-flies. This research was located in the farmer land of papaya fruit in Bakung Village. This research was conducted ffom January 2007 until March 2007. The results of this research showed that some of fruit wrapped still attacked by fruit-flies because the fruit-flies had laid the eggs before wrapped. The best time for wrapping for long fruit if the fruit has lenght 10 cm while for oval fruit if it has lenght 5 cm. Wrapping the Papaya with plastic to prevent fruit-flies attack was effective to reduce fruit-flies attack.
