Abstract
ABSTRACT This research entitled "Performance Analysis of Housing and Settlement Areas in Waste Management in Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The background of the title selection in this study was due to the large amount of garbage scattered around the community housing and Temporary Shelter (TPS) which were not used as much as possible. The housing and residential areas are services that carry out the waste management process starting from storage, collection, transfer, transportation and disposal to the final processing site (TPA). The purpose of this study is to find out how the performance of the Housing and Settlement Areas in waste management. This study uses the organizational theory model proposed by Kumorotomo (1996) which consists of dimensions of efficiency, effectiveness, fairness and responsiveness. The discussion of this study focuses on the performance of the Housing and Settlement Areas in Waste Management in Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The results of this study indicate that the performance of the Housing and Settlement Service Offices is not maximal, it can be seen from the dimensions of efficiency and effectiveness that the tools and time of waste management are not as expected, besides that from the justice dimension it can be seen that the distribution of waste containers has not been done fairly by Housing and Settlement Area Service. The results of this study recommend that to get the maximum performance of the Office it is necessary to conduct socialization to the community so that their level of awareness about the importance of waste management and the addition of janitors.
