Abstract

The research was conducted in Phytopathology Laboratory and Greenhouse, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University from February to Oktober 2009. The objective of the research was to know the effects of Trichoderma spp grown by various substrats and extract of domestic waste compost in reducing damping off disease caused by pathogen Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn attack on chili pepper. The research was arranged in Randomized Completely Design with 10 treatments and 4 replications as consisted of control, Trichoderma spp. isolates T4 and T7 produced in combination of substrates l(coconut dregs+bran+sawdust), 2(tapioca dregs+bran+sawdust), 3(coconut dregs+bran+bunch of palm oil), 4(tapioca dregs+bran+bunch of plam oil), and 5(Trichoderma as liquid bioaktivator of extract of household waste compost). The results showed that Chili seedling treated by Trichoderma spp. grown in various subtrates was very effective in reduce the pre-emergence damping off, postemergence damping off, diseases incidence and severity. Chili seedling treated by Trichoderma provide the percentage of inhibition of pre-emergence damping off, post-emergence damping o^diseases incidence and density were ranged from 91-100%, 21,7-95%,71,42-100% and 61,01-94,91%. While for the best storage time for on chilli keeping biofungiside based on trichoderma spp. produced by factory and household waste material s was 5-6 weeks.
