Abstract

Isolasi, karakterisasi, identifikasi kapang pendegradasi hidrokarbon minyak bumi dari kawasan mangrove Sungsang, Kabupaten Banyuasin, Sumatera selatan dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2008-Juli 2009 ,di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi, jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Inderalaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan isolate kapang yang berpotensi mendegradasi hidrokarbon minyak dan mengindentifikasinya berdasarkan karakter yang dimilikinya. Sampel diambil dari tiga stasiun, yaitu stasiun I (zona Nypa sp), stasiun 2 (pulau payung), dan stasiun 3 (perkampungan penduduk Sungsang), diambil dalam bentuk sediment, disekitar perakaran hutan mangrove. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu diperoleh tiga isolat kapang yang berpotensi mendegradasi hidrokarbon minyak bumi. Ketiga isolat tersebut yaitu Crysonillia sitophyla, Aspergillusfumigatus, andAspergillus parasiticus. Kata Kunci: kapang, petroleum hidrokarbon, hutan mangrove
