Abstract

This study aims to (a) determine the level of industrial agglomeration in Southern Sumatra; and (b) determine the effect of the agglomeration level of industry, labor, wage levels on economic growth in the province of Southern Sumatra. This research was conducted in 5 provinces in Southern Sumatra, namely South Sumatra, Lampung, Jambi, Bangka Belitung and Bengkulu Provinces. The data used in this study is secondary data with a research period of 2015-2020. The analysis technique used is panel data regression technique. The results of this study indicate that (a) there is no industrial agglomeration in 5 Southern Sumatra Provinces; and (b) the level of industrial agglomeration, industrial sector workforce, and wage levels have a positive and significant impact on economic growth in 5 Southern Sumatra Provinces.
