Abstract
A triterpenoids was isolated from n-hexane fraction compound of stem bark manggu leuweung (Garcinia cornea). The extraction was done by maceration method and separation and purification of isolated compound was conducted by chromatographic technique. Isolated compound is white powder with melting point 237-239 °C. The structure of this compound was determined based on spectroscopic data such as including IR, NMR l-D and to compared with data base. Based on spectral data analysis could be concluded that isolated compound is triterpenoid, that is 3-Oxo Friedelin with molecule formula C30H50O and DBE (double bond equivalent) 6.
