Abstract
A research on the effect of temperature on jatropha oil cracking product using Nb2O5- Montmorillonit pillared ZrO2 catalyst has been performed. Jatropha oil cracking process performed on temperature conditions 425, 450, 475, 500, 525°C. Product analysis include the percent conversion, the percentage distribution of the product and percent product yield of gasoline, kerosene and diesel. The results showed the best product at a temperature of 525°C is achieved with 21.82% conversion rate, 5.27% of oil products, polar product 2.27%, 12.61% gaseous Products and coke 1.66%, percent yield of gasoline products by 2.96% followed by 1.50% fraction of kerosene and diesel 0.78%.
