Abstract

The objective ofthis experiment was to study the effect oftuber weight and natural P fertilizer (Guano fertilizer) to the growing and flowering of sedap malam double petal cultivar (.Polianthes tuberose). This experiment was conducted at Tanjung Seteko, Indralaya, South Sumatra on May-November 2005, using Randomized Complete Design arranged factorially with two factorials. The first factor was the tuber weight, consist of Ui (1-1,9 gr), U2 (2-2,9 gr), U3 (3-3,9 gr), U4 (4-4,9 gr), U5 (7-10 gr) and the second factor was the fertilizer’s dosage, consist of G0 (0 kg ha'), G, (400 kg ha-), G2 (800 kg ha1), G3 (1200 kg ha1), G4 (1600 kg ha '). A sum of 25 Treatmen combinations 10 replications each imperimental unit consisted ofone plant. The results of this research showed that resulted in natural P fertilizer application (Guano fertilizer) G4 with dosage 1600 kg'1 (6,4 g per plant) resulted in good effect for sum of sedap malam plant leaf. U2 treatment with 2-2,9 g in tuber weight showed good significant effect for growing of sedap malam, combination oftreatment G4 and U2 resulted in the highest plant growth
