Abstract

Personal hygiene adalah kebersihan dan kesehatan diri yang bertujuan untuk mencegah timbulnya penyakit, meliputi kebersihan rambut, kebersihan kulit,kebersihan gigi dan mulut, kebersihan mata, kebersihan kuku tangan dan kaki, serta kebersihan telinga. Personal hygiene yang tidak baik pada anak dapat menimbulkan beberapa masalah kesehatan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat adanya hubungan antara pengetahuan, sikap, peran orang tua dan peran guru terhadap personal hygiene siswa. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel ditentukan secara purposive sampling untuk 104 responden. Instrument penelitian berupa kuisioner dan observasi langsung. Data dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil menunjukan terdapat hubungan pengetahuan p-value= 0.018), sikap (p value= 0.006), peran orang tua (p-value= 0.000)dengan personal hygiene siswa dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara peran guru (p-value= 0.091) dengan personal hygiene siswa. Disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan,sikap dan peran orang tua terhadap personal hygiene siswa termasuk rendah.Sehingga perlu peningkatan peran serta orang tua dan guru dalam memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan siswa terhadap personal hygiene.
