Abstract
The water extract of secang and methanol extract of sambiloto were combined and tested for its antibacterial and antioxidant acivities. Antibacterial activity were tested with well diffusion method. It showed that there was a bactery’s activity of the combination, minimum inhibition of concentration (MIC) of Shigella dysentriae at composition 0.5.0.5 was 0.075% and minimum inhibition of concentration (MIC) of Staphylococcus aureus at composition 0.8:0.2 was 0.4%. Antioxidant activity was tested with spectrophotometry method using DPPH as free radical. Combination of water extract of secang and methanol extract of sambiloto showed the higgest inhibition score at the combination 1000 ppm: 1000 ppm; 500 ppm: 1000 ppm; 1000 ppm: 500 ppm; 1000 ppm: 250 ppm; dan 500 ppm: 500 ppm. Methanol extract of sambiloto more active as antioxidant than water extract of secang with IC50 number sequentially 23.84 ppm and 33.22 ppm.
