Abstract

The research about analysis of ion Fe2+ with chitin and chitosan yield adsorption by atomic adsorption spectrofotometry (AAS) method has been done. This research to study about Chemical properties of adsorption ion Fe2+ with chitin and chitosan as adsorbent with specified of equilibrium times, optimum cocentration adsorption , adsorption capacity and pH influence 4, 7 and 9 to adsorption capacity used atomic adsorption spectrofotometry (AAS) method. Time equilibrium showed that interaction between chitin and ion Fe2+was 80 minutes and then time equilibrium result of interaction between chitosan and ion Fe2+ was 120 minutes. The initial concentration for optimum concentration adsorption with chitin and chitosan to ion Fe2+ were 30 ppm and 40 ppm with concentration 9,3180 mg/g and 13,7700 mg/g. Adsorption capacity of chitin and chitosan with ion Fe2+ were 9,1920 mg/g and 15,9712 mg/g respectively. Result of the research showed that pH has no effect to adsorption capacity.
