Abstract
Research about ability activated carbon had been done for the adsorption of copper metal ion. Parameter which investigated were variation of particle size 60, 80, 100 and 140 mesh, variation of contact time 15, 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes, variation of concentration 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 ppm, variation of pH 4, 7 and 9. Measurement of concentration copper metal ion in condensation by Atomic Absorption Spectrofotometri. The result this research showed the optimum activated carbon for the adsorptions of ion copper metal obtained at particle size 80 mesh, contact time 30 minute, concentration 100 ppm and pH 9 with absorpsion 9.9742 mg/g. Absorpsion activated carbon of waste water PT. Pertamina was 2.0548 mg/g.
