Abstract

The research was to observe the population of imago, attack and diversity species of oriental fruitfly at crop of lemon. The research was conducted at plantation of lemon crops at village Simpang Tiga Darussalam Inderalaya district,Ogan Ilir regency from November to December 2005.Survey method was used to collect the imago of fruitflies, percentage ofattack and diversity species of fruitflies. The obtained data were presented attabulation. Data collected was analysed by descriptive.Results of the research indicated that there were two species of fruitflies, i.e,Bactrocera dorsalis Hendel and Bactrocera umbrosus Fab. founded at lemonplantation. Lemon was infected by B. dorsalis. The average of number of fruitflies was 120,8 individu at location A and 96,8 individu at location B and the average of percentage of attack was 17,8% at location A and 16% at location B.
