Abstract
This study aims to determine the performance of the horizontal type crusher and sieve by considering the type of soil and the speed of the blade. This research was carried out from July 2021 to August 2021 at the Workshop and Agricultural Machine Tools Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The method used was Factorial Randomized Design (RAKF) with two research factors, namely soil type (A) and blade speed (B) with three treatment levels and each treatment combination was repeated three times. The parameters of this research are theoretical working capacity, effective engine capacity, fuel requirement, percentage of fineness fraction, tool efficiency and power or power of the tool. The results of this study indicate that the highest theoretical capacity value in the combination of A2B3 treatment with Alluvial soil material and blade speed of 200 rpm is 307,90 kg/hour. The highest effective capacity value was in the combination of A3B3 treatment with Histosol soil material and the blade speed of 200 rpm was 210.6 kg/hour. The value of the highest fuel requirement in the combination of A2B3 treatment with Alluvial soil material and a blade speed of 200 rpm is 1.78 liters/hour. The highest percentage value of fineness fraction in A3 treatment with Ultisol soil material is 92.92%. The highest tool efficiency value was in the combination of A3B1 treatment with Histosol soil material and the blade speed of 100 rpm was 99,89 %. The value of the highest power or power tool in the combination of A2B3 treatment with Alluvial soil material and a blade speed of 200 rpm is 6.19 hp.
