Abstract

The objective of this research was to know N-ammonia consentration, dry matter digestibility, organic matter digestibility, gas production and rumen pH palm fround amoniation by in vitro technique. This research was conducted at Laboratory of Nutrition and Feed Animals Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University this 2 months from February until March 2006. This research compared 2 treatments that were Po (palm fround amoniation 0 % urea + 15 % poultry manure) and Pi (palm fround amoniation 4 % urea + 15 % poultry manure) every treatment consisting 4 replications. The parameters measured were N-ammonia consentration, dry matter digestibility, organic matter digestibility, gas production and rumen pH. The data of the research was tabulated by using t-test. The result showed that resulted significantly differences to N-ammonia consentration, dry matter digestibility, organic matter digestibility and gas production. But it was no significantly differences to rumen pH. The conclusion of the research was amoniation treatment by addition urea 4 % gone the best result.
