Abstract

Research on the efifect of feed flow rate of jatropha seed oii cracking into products has been carried out using Nb205/Zr02-pillared montmorillonite catalyst. The research was conducted on the variation of the feed flow rate 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16 g/min and a nitrogen gas flow rate of 10 mL/sec. Cracking products were analyzed for several parameters. Cracking products is achieved at the optimum flow rate of 8 g/min with the percent conversion of 21.84 %. Composition in the form of cracking petroleum products 6.58 %, 2.32 % polar, 1.60 % coke, and 11.35 % gas. Oii was analyzed using Gas-Liquid Chromatography (GLC) to determine the percent fraction of gasoline, kerosene, and diesel. GLC analysis results showed that the content of the fraction of gasoline, kerosene and diesel respectively 0.94 %, 3.52 %, and 2.12 %.
