Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on student learning outcomes on the digestive system material with the research subject of students (n=61) class XI IPA UPT SMA Negeri 16 Muara Enim. The research method used is quasi-experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research instruments used are test (pretest & posttest), questionnaires and observation sheets. Learning outcomes data were analyzed by using the Independent sample t-test in the Statistical Program for Social Science 28 (SPSS version 28). The results showed that the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model improved student learning outcomes with a gain of 33.6 and an n-gain of 0.63 in the medium category. The results of the hypothesis test analysis showed the value of Sig. 0.001 < 0.05 which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This shows that learning using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model has a significant effect on student learning outcomes in the digestive system material for class XI IPA UPT SMA Negeri 16 Muara Enim for the 2021-2022 academic year.
