Abstract

Knowledge of learning styles in learners is important for the teacher or the learner. Identification is necessary done by the teachers. Generally identification is only done by a skilled person, to solve this problem required software that can identify the learning style. By knowing and understanding learning style of the learners, the learning strategy can be designed and applied for the learning process. In this research, software development is done to identify learning style using RBR (Rule Based Reasoning) and Forward Chaining method. While the data in this research is primary data by using questionnaires given to some undergraduate students in Palembang for 35 data. The result of learning style got eleven students identified using visual learning, sixteen students for auditory learning style, and the other eight students kinesthetic learning style. In this research concluded that RBR method can be applied to identify student learning style.
