Abstract

The problems that are often encountered in the use of swamp land as an agricultural sector are usually caused by poor conditions and characteristics of swampland, this causes problems in the irrigation network, resulting in the rice production process being hampered . One area that has problems with irrigation channels is Telang Rejo Village, this village has a standard area of 301 ha of rice fields and has 17 irrigation channels. From observations in the field, it was found that the irrigation canal in Telang Rejo village had several problems with the channel, namely, when in the rainy season the irrigation channel was often flooded and when entering the dry season the irrigation channel experienced a drought, of course this problem was very detrimental to the existing farmers. in the village of Telang Rejo. Given the role of irrigation in delivering water, it is very important to irrigate rice fields. Therefore, to overcome this problem, there are several analyzes that can be done, namely by calculating the water requirement in the irrigation canal, calculating the waster modulus, and calculating the dimensions of the drain channel needed to drain the water. Based on an analysis using rainfall data from 2011 to 2020, the need for irrigation water on land in Telang Rejo Village is 2.56 ltr/sec/ha. The exhaust modulus value is 4.57 ltr/dt∙ha. The design dimensions required for the Telang Rejo Village channel are for the channel bottom width (b) of 0.35 m to 0.47 m, for the top width (B) of 1.05 m to 1.41 m and the water level (h) of 0.35 m to 0.47 m. With the dimensions of the plan above, it is obtained that the calculation of the planned discharge is 0.073 m3/sec to 0.133 m3/sec.
