Abstract

The research about acidity test of catalyst Ni/Mo montmorilonite Zr02 had been done. Natural montmorillonite was modified using pillaring agent Zr02 and then followed by Ni/Mo impregnation with variation amount of Ni:Mo 0:0.38376 g (A) ; 0.0587:0.28782 g (B) ; 0.1174:0.19188 g (D) ; 0.1761:0.09594 g (F) ; 0.2348:0 g (G). Parameter measured were Bronsted and Lewis acid sites using spectrometer FTIR. Acidity test including total acidity, surface acidity and pore acidity. Ni/Mo metal impregnation increased total acidity, surface acidity and pore acidity of Ni/Mo-Zr02 montmorilonite catalyst, the largest increases in catalyst A equal to 1.6475 mmoi/g, 2.1243 mmol/g and 0.4768 mmol/g. 'The increase in surface area and total volume pore due to increase in acidity. FTIR spectrometer showed that the base adsorbed catalyst has Bronsted and Lewis acid sites.
