Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the different effects of sentrifugal force on multiple types of blades used on tea fertilizer sower machine. This research was carried out from August 2021 to September 2021 at PT Mitra Kerinci Liki Plantation South Solok District West Sumatra Province. The method used for this research are descriptive-quantitative and the data are collected from three different types of blades for tea fertilizer sower machine. Observed parameters included effective capacity (ha/hour), fuel requirements (L/hour), amount of fertilizer used (kg/ha), and fertilizer distribution distance. The results of this research indicate that there are several factors that can make it difficult for the operator to pass through each obstacle, namely the presence of weeds, soil conditions, hardened fertilizer due to moist, and the warping of the A1 cover due to vibration and the incorrect position of the A3 bolt on the blade cover. The highest average effective capacity values were found in A3 with values of 0.586 ha/hour and the lowest were found in A1 with values of 0.536 ha/hour. The highest average fuel requirement is found in A2 which produces 0.769 L/hour of average fuel demand, while the lowest average fuel requirement is found in A1 which produces 0.650 L/hour of average fuel demand. According to the tests and observations that have been carried out in the field, the most effective blade for fertilization is found in A2, because the fertilizer that comes out is almost close to the predetermined fertilizer dose. The uneven distribution of fertilizer are caused by this factors, namely the presence of weeds and the codition in which the fertilizer becomes humid causing the fertilizer to hardened.
