Abstract

The research of jatropha cator oil hydrocracking by using Co/Mo Montmorillonite pillared Ti02 catalayst has been done. The hydrocracking process was conducted at 500 °C of temperature, 2 g of catalyst weight and 0.5; 1.5; 2.5; 3.5 mL/sec of hydrogen gas flow rate variation. The product of hydrocracking was calculated in percentage of non polar, polar, coke, and gas one. The density of the non polar product was measured. The result showed that the optimum hydrogen gas flow rate was 2.5 mL/sec, where it produced 77.7127% of maximum non polar product, 0.8557% of polar product, 0.6647% of coke product, and 20.7669% of gas product Density of the nonpolar product was 867 Kg/m3. Distillation of non polar product 68.49% of gasoline ffaction having 746 Kg/m3 of density.
