Abstract
The aim or this research was to investigate effect of water-ethanol solvent (0:1, 1:2, 1:1, 2:1 and 1:0) to Ni Impregnation of activated carbon was done by measuring the adsorption ability of Ni/C catalyst. Initially carbon was activated by physical and Chemical methods then Ni were impregnated into activated carbon. The impregnation of Ni was tested by using AAS and the adsorption ability of Ni/C catalyst was tested by using NH3 gas adsorption. The result showed that the maximum value of Ni impregnation is 1847.40 ppm at the solvent rasio of water/ethanol (1:0) and the adsorption ability ofNi/C catalyst is 138.01 mg/g.
