Abstract
The objective of this research was to conduct technical analysis of horizontal blade-type windmill from fibreglass. The research was conducted from June to Oktober 2006 at laboratory of Agricultural Engineering Study Program and attempt garden of Agricultural Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The method used in this study was engineering design consisting of design approach, equipment construction and field trial of the equipment. The equipment field trial was set up on open land having a distance of 10 m from all buildings and axe trees. The energy produced by this windmill was affected by wind speed and windmill speed rotation. The result of this research showed that energy produced by windmill on the 0.25 Hp to 0.36 Hp. The highest energy produced by windmill with magnitude of 0.36 Hp was produced on fifth day. The smallest energy produced by windmill with magnitude of 0.25 Hp was produced on fourth day. First day energy produced by windmill with magnitude of 0.29 Hp. Second day energy produced by windmill with magnitude of 0.35 Hp. Third day energy produced by windmill with magnitude of 0.32 Hp.
