Abstract

This research aims to (1) Find out the flow of rice procurement at the Bureau of Logistic (Perum BULOG) of South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung Regional Office, (2) Analyze the amount of rice inventory at the Perum BULOG of South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung Regional Office in 2016-2020 reviewed from the number of economical supplies, maximum stock, safety supply, and determine the reorder point, (3) Calculate the efficient cost of rice inventory reviewed from the amount of the realization of inventory costs with the optimum inventory at the Perum BULOG of South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung Regional Office. The data collection was done in November 2021. The research results are (1) Suppliers, and the work unit of procurement carried out the procurement of domestic rice. The procurement mechanism carried out by the work unit begins when the work warrant for the rice procurement is sent, while if the work partner begins when the supplier submits an offer to procure rice and then inspects the rice. (2) The amount of rice inventory seen from the optimum order quantity for each order in 2016-2020 were 2.084.993kg, 1.643.256kg, 1.464.310kg, 176.642kg, dan 721.613kg. (3) The total cost of optimal rice supplies issued by Perum BULOG of the South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung Regional Office in 2016-2020 while the company's realization of rice inventory cost in 2019 was Rp619.763.757.
