Abstract

Company’s performance effectiveness is a critical principal to fulfill company’s vision and mission. Every company attempts to develop their business in various ways, including but not limited to expand their network. PT. Pegadaian builds their business network by spread their branches unit to untapped region with its Unit Pembantu Cabang (Auxiliary Unit) or UPC. To open a UPC, company considers many aspects to decide whether a space is feasible to be developed into UPC. The aspects may vary from population density, market competition, contract fee, and economic potential of one area. Numbers of potential UPC in one area may lead company into difficulties to decide which spaces/shops that should be chosen. From the premises, writer produce a research titled “Decision-Making Support System to Open Unit Pembantu Cabang (UPC) for PT. Pegadaian (Persero) with Weighted Product Method” (Case Study: PT. Pegadaian (Persero) Branch Palembang). With decision-making support system, company can easily to decide which space(s) can be used as UPC.
