Abstract
This study aims to produce student activity sheets (LAS) for problem-solving-based algebraic operations that are valid and practical and have a potential effect on problem-solving abilities. This type of research is development research. This research method consists of 2 stages, namely, Self Evaluation and Formative Evaluation which consists of expert review, one to one, small group and field test. The subjects in this study were students of SMP Negeri 1 Kutacane, Southeast Aceh. Data collection techniques used in this study were lift, test and interview which were then analyzed to see the validity of LAS, practicality of LAS, and potential effects of the LAS. From the results of the expert validation sheet, it shows that the developed LAS is valid and from the results of the practicality questionnaire, an average percentage of 82.5% is obtained which is included in the very practical criteria. Based on the results of expert validation and one to one and small group trials, a valid and practical student activity sheet was obtained. The developed LAS also has a potential effect on students' problem solving abilities, this can be seen from the overall test results of students. The results of this study indicate that there are 8 students with a very good category with a percentage of 28.57%, 13 students in a good category with a percentage of 46.43% and 7 students in a moderate category with a percentage of 25%.
