Abstract

Simpang Tiga Abadi is the biggest fishpond area at Ogan Komering Ilir regency where the polyculture fishpond management is done by many people to overcome the problem of water resulting in decreased production of Penaeus monodon and chanos chanos. Lack of proper pond management can lead to deterioration of water quality also affect the farmed fish farmers. This study aims to analyze the water quality pond polyculture and has been implemented by March 2013. Location research using purposive sampling method. The choice of location was based on the ongoing process of cultivation, the farms 1 already 1 month in stocking, pond 2 is already 4 months in stocking and pond 3 is already 8 months in the stocking. Distance ffom pond 1 to pond 2 is 600 meters while the 3 farms located across the river with the river about 10 feet wide. Pond temperature at the inlet, outlet and middle of the pond 1, pond 2 and pond 3 had a range of between 27oC to 32oC and good for cultivation in ponds. Brightness pond 1, pond 2 and pond 3 ranged from 18 cm to 31 cm and good for cultivation in ponds. DO the three study sites ranged from 7.14 ppm to 7.69 ppm and good for cultivation in ponds. Salinity pond 1, pond 2 and pond 3 ranged ffom 5 %o to 8 %o and still meet the water quality Standard limits marine environment according to the ministerial decree 51 of 2004. Range of pH in the pond is 7.53 to 8.49 and good for cultivation in ponds. Range nitrate obtained by laboratory analysis was 2.48 mg / 1 to 6.73 mg / 1 and still meet the threshold for cultivation by making 51 environment ministers in 2004, while for the range of phosphorus content obtained by analysis in the laboratory was 0.46 mg / 1 to 0.91 mg / 1 and good for cultivation in ponds.
