Abstract

Banyuasin waters is one of the crowded waters to aquatic activities such as fishing and the people who mostly work as fishermen who conduct fishing activities and as a transportation lines make Banyuasin waters as there is lots of water activities. Activities that constantly and it lasts a long time may result in an increase or decrease in water quality, which can have a direct impact on marine organisms. This study aims to: Knowing the content and distribution of nitrate, phosphate and ammonia in waters Banyuasin and environmental parameters to determine the relationship of nitrate, phosphate and ammonia. This study was conducted in July 2011. Measurement results showed Nitrate, Phosphate, Ammonia Nitrate content shows (2.8 mg/1 - 21,3 mg/1 and phosphate (0.02 mg/1 - 2,15 mg/1) is above the quality standards for marine biota (Kepmen No.51/MENLH/2004) while ammonia (0.005 mg/1 - 0,052 mg/1) still meet the quality standards. Nitrate, Phosphate, ammonia has a distribution pattem of increasingly higher towards the mouth of the womb. Results of correlation with water quality (salinity, temperature, pH, DO) nitrate and phosphate are not correlated, while ammonia is correlated with pH.
