Abstract

The Purpose of this research were (1) to calculate the difference in income from rice farming before and during the Upsus Pajale Program in Kuala Puntian Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency (2) To analyze the impact of Upsus Pajale on the welfare of farmers in Kuala Puntian Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency. This research was conducted in Kuala Putian Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency. The implementation time is from November to December 2021. The method used in this study is a survey research method. The sampling method used in this study was simple random sampling from 102 farmers who received assistance from the upsus program. Samples were taken using the Slovin formula to obtain 30 sample farmers. The average income of rice farming before receiving Upsus Program assistance was Rp33.894.078,00/Lg/Mt while for those currently receiving Upsus Program assistance in Kuala Puntian Village, it was Rp38.441.745,00/Lg/Mt, there is a difference between income farmers before receiving Upsus assistance with farmers' income are receiving Upsus assistance. Welfare of farmers receiving the Upsus Program assessed that life satisfaction, health, work, family, friendship and personal were in the high criteria and only the economy was the medium criteria and the impact of the Upsus Pajale program on the subjective welfare of rice farmers in Kuala Puntian Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency, where the The dominant factors that have a significant influence on the life satisfaction of farmers in Kualo Puntian Village are health and work. Factors that have a significant effect on farmers' health are income, land area, age, education level and number of families. Factors that have a significant effect on farmers' work are income, land area and number of families. Keywords: Upsus Pajale, income, Rice farming, welfare.
