Abstract

Pabrik pembuatan metil laktat dengan kapasitas produksi 20.000 ton/tahun ini direncanakan berdiri pada tahun 2026 di Kota Bontang, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur yang diperkirakan memiliki luas area sebesar 1,75 Ha. Bahan baku dari pembuatan metil laktat ini adalah asam laktat, metanol, dan katalis asam sulfat. Proses pembuatan metil laktat ini mengacu pada US Patent No. 2020/10626069B2 dengan proses esterifikasi asam laktat dengan metanol dibantu katalis asam sulfat membentuk produk metil laktat. Jenis reaktor yang digunakan ialah continuous stirred tank reactor. Reaktor beroperasi pada temperatur 100oC dan tekanan 5 atm. Bentuk perusahaan yang akan digunakan pada pabrik ini adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan sistem organisasi Line dan Staff, dipimpin oleh seorang Direktur dengan total karyawan 195 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisa ekonomi, pabrik metil laktat ini layak untuk didirikan karena telah memenuhi berbagai macam persyaratan parameter ekonomi, yaitu sebagai berikut: � Total Capital Investment (TCI) = US$ 54.309.899,3214 � Total Penjualan = US$ 60.000.0000,0000 � Total Production Cost (TPC) = US$ 37.023.447,3730 � Annual Cash Flow = US$ 20.699.928,2812 � Pay Out Time = 2,52 Tahun � Rate Of Return On Investment (ROR) = 29,6144% � Break Even Point (BEP) = 38,3156% � Service Life = 11 Tahun
