Abstract

This research aims to know the role of social support and self-adjustment to vegetarian adolescence in Palembang. This hypothesis was there is role of social support and self-adjustment to vegetarian adolescence in Palembang. The subject was 120 vegetarian adolescence in Palembang. Social support and self-adjustment was measured by the scale of social support and self-adjustment, with reference to types from Sarafino & Smith (2011) and characteristics from Schneiders (1960). Data analysis using simple regression. The result of the simple regression showed that there is role of social support and self-adjustment to vegetarian adolescence in Palembang with value of r = 0.317, and p = 0,000 (p<0,05). It shows that social support has a positive and significant role with self-adjustment. Thus the hypothesis in this research was accepted and social support contribute toward self-adjustment as much as 29.9%.
