Abstract

The development of public relations whether as science or a profession is closely related and cannot be separated from Information and Communication Technology. Because public relations truthfully is a bridge from the organization to it's public therefore public relations always develop in order to maintain and pursue it's relationships with the public. Over time , Several names appeared regarding the developments of public relations. Specifically to the Public Relations that utilize online media in their activities. in Indonesia itself, it is more known as Cyber Public Relations. This research Entitled "The Effectiveness of Public Relations on Instagram as social media (Study on The Instagram Account of The Directorate General of Immigration of The Republic of Indonesia @Ditjen_Imigrasi as a Public Relations Publication Media) Aims to find out how effective the use of Instagram as the medium in government agencies specifically The Directorate General of Immigration of the republic of indonesia using the effectiveness theory of cyber public relations of David phillips and phillips young and Descriptive quantitative method. The results of the study indicates that the use of Instagram as the publication Media of The directorate general of Imigration of The Republic of Indonesia Is Very Effective with an achievement percentage of 83.7%. Keyword: Effectiveness, Cyber Public Relations, Publication Media, Instagram.
