Abstract

The purpose of this study were(1) to assess the differences in the characteristics of farmers who apply and do not apply the IP 200 in Pelabuhan Dalam Village. (2)to describe the perception of farmers who adopted IP 200 and not adopted IP 200.The research was carried out at Pelabuhan Dalam Village, Ogan Ilir Regency in March 2021. The data collected in this study were primary and secondary data.The results indicated that there were differences in farmersocial characteristics (age, education, farming experience), economic characteristics (source of capital and income for rice farming) and situational factors (extension frequency, activity in farmer groups and accessibility) between farmers. implementing and not implementing the IP 200 Pelabuhan Dalam Village, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The score of perception of farmers who applied IP 200(high score) was higher than that of not applied IP 200 (moderate score). Keywords : Planting index, Characteristic, Perceptions
