Abstract

Sorghum is a cereals food which can grow on marginal land and fit planted on dry or warm land. The purpose of this study is to find out the influence vermicompost, dolomite, combination of vermicompost and dolomite on soil NPK, NPK-Uptake, growth and production of sorghum plants (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) on tidal land. This research was conducted at the Greenhouse and analysis of soil and plant NPK was conducted in Chemistry Laboratory, Biology and Soil Fertility, Department of Soil, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University.This research used a completely randomized factorial design with 2 factors. First factor was 3 dosage levels of vermicompost with is 0 ton ha-1 (V0), 2,5 ton ha-1 (V1), 5 ton ha-1 (V2) and 7,5 ton ha-1 (V3). Second factor was 2 dosage levels of dolomite is 0 ton ha-1 (K1) and 0,404 ton ha-1 (K2). The results showed that vermicompost, dolomite, combination of vermicompost and dolomite had no results significant effect on soil N, P, K also N, P, K uptake, wet weight, dry weight, height, number of leaves and sorghum panicle weight.
