Abstract

Tanaman pakcoy merupakan tanaman yang termasuk ke dalam jenis sayuran daun, yang satu golongan dengan tanaman kubis-kubisan. Produktivitas tanaman pakcoy dapat berfluktasi dari waktu ke waktu, fluktasi itu penyebabnya ialah adanya gangguan oganisme penganggu tanaman. Mengatur jarak tanam pada pertanaman pakcoy dapat mempengaruhi populasi spesies serangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui populasi serangga pada pertanaman pakcoy yang ditanam dengan menerapkan jarak tanam yang berbeda di dalam guludan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi langsung dilapangan. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap hari minggu sampai waktu panen. Serangga yang datang ke petanaman pakcoy akan ditangkap menggunakan perangkap pitfall trap dan pantrap. Semua serangga yang didapat dibawa ke Laboratorium Entomologi untuk di identifikaakansi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa mengatur jarak tanam pada pertanaman pakcoy di temukan berbagai macam spesies serangga. Spesies serangga yang aktif di udara pada pertanaman pakcoy dengan jarak tanam 20 x 20, 25 x 20, 30 x 20 cm berturut-turut ditemukan 10, 7 dan 4 spesies. Spesies arthropoda yang aktif di tanah pada pertanaman pakcoy dengan jarak tanam 20 x 20, 20 x 25, 20 x 30 cm berturut-turut ditemukan 12, 11, dan 10 spesies.
