Abstract

The research of content and distribution of nutrient (nitrate, phosphate, and silicate) at water column and sediment was executed in September 2008. The aim of this research was to know content and distribution of nutrient at water column and sediment. Purposive random sampling was used to determine point of sampling. Sampling was done in three locations ( mouth part, middle, and in) from Hurun bay. Measurement of Chemical physical parameters was done by Insitu. The Measuring of nitrate at water column and sediment was done by using methology of Spectrhotometry. The result of research indicated that distribution and concentration nitrate, phosphate, silicate increased toward continent. The range of concentration of nitrat in water column in all points of research at condition of ebb between 0,019-0,0810 ppm, while in sediment between 1,42-7,29 ppm. The range of phosphate concentration in water column in all points of research at condition of ebb between 0,014-0,0765 ppm, while in sediment between 0,002-0,27 ppm. The range of concentration of silicate in water column in all points of research at condition of ebb between 0,1-1,5 ppm, while in sediment between 0-0,05 ppm. Concentration of nitrat, phosphate, and silicate was influenced by terrestrial activities and KJA property of fisherman and PT. Kyoko Shinju, Besides environmental factor such as flow velocity, salinity, distance from continent, and distribution of mass movement of water from Lampung bay also influenced concentration of nutrient.
