Abstract

The community of gastropods is very influenced by change as which happened in the ecosystera, maritime tourism development give on effect to the community gastropods in Pasir Padi Beach. This research aimed to know the community gastropods in Pangkalpinang City Bangka Belitung Island Province including density, diversity, similarity, dominancy, everest and some environment parameters (temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen and sediment), This research had been conducted in the beach of Pasir Padi on Juiy until September 2008. Gastropods sample was done by taking all gastropod’s in the transect quadrat shaped 1 x 1 m. The result of research showed that there were 25 spesies of gastropods firom 13 families. The highest density was in station 1 (275 ind/m) and the lowest was in station 2 (219 ind/m). Index of variation was between 1.49-2.1. Index of similarity was between 0.55-0:72 7. Index of dominancy was between 0.178-0.42. Based physical and Chemical parameters such as temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen and substrat measured in the research generally showed the acceptable value and support gastropod’s file.
