Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving Paklobutrazol in inhibiting the sprouting of sweet potato tubers (Ipomoea batatas L)., This research was carried out in September 2020 - November 2020. This research method used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) system with 5 treatments and 5 replications so that 25 experimental units were obtained. Each experimental unit contained 4 plants so there were 100 plants. The treatments were P0: Without Paklobutrazole, P1: Paklobutrazole 250 ppm, P2: Paklobutrazole 500 ppm, P3: Paklobutrazole 750 ppm, P4: Paklobutrazole 1000 ppm. The results showed that the effect of giving various concentrations of paklobutrazole in treatment P3 (750 ppm) was the best treatment on the tuber weight variable during storage with an average value of 181.70 grams, the highest shoot growth time with an average value of 25.5 days, height The plants were in the P4 treatment (1000 ppm) with an average value of 21.39 cm, the number of leaves was in the P0 treatment (without Paklobutrazole) with an average value of 24.41 strands, dry weight (topper) was in the P2 treatment (500 ppm paklobutrazole) with an average value of 18.91 grams, the dry weight of the underground part of the treatment P1 (250 ppm paklobutrazole) with an average value of 65.15 grams.
