Abstract
HENDRI FERIANSON. P. PURBA. Physic Charateristics of The Spray Irrigation Performance (supervised by R. MURSIDI and HAR\ AGUS WIBOWO). . The research objective was to achieve the best combination of nozzle diameter and spraying time of spray irrigation in term of watering wide (cm), land solidizing (%), water content (%), bulk density (g.cm'3), watering depth (cm), Uniformity coefficient of watering (%), and droplet diameter (mm). This study was conducted at physic and land conservation laboratory and Farm Machinery and Equipment laboratory, Agricultural Technology Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Inderalaya, Ogan Ilir, from Februari 2005 to Mei 2005. The experimental design use in this study was Factorial Randomized Completely Design using using two treatment factors with three replications for each treatment combination. The first factor was nozzle diameters of Di (4 mm) and D2 {6 mm) and the second factor was spraying time of Tj (5 minutes), T2 (10 minutes), and T3 (15 minutes). The main parameters were watering wide (cm), land solidizing (%), water content (%), bulk density (g.cm'3), watering depth (cm), Uniformity coefficient of watering (%), and droplet diameter (mm). The results showed that treatment of nozzle diameter had higly significant effect on watering wide, droplet diameter, bulk density, and had significant effect onwater content and uniformity coefficient of watering. The treatment of spraying time had highly significant effect on bulk density, uniformity coefficient of watering, and land solidizing. The highest uniformity coefficient of watering percentation is on combination of nozzle diameter by 4 mm (Dj) and spraying time 15 minutes (T3), with amount 83,99 %. The highest percentation of land solidizing is on combination of nozzle diameter by 6 mm (D2) and spraying time 15 minutes (T3), with amount 20,5 %. The highest water content percentation is on combination of nozzle diameter by 6 mm (D2) and spraying time 15 minutes (T3), with amount 22,57 %. The highest watering wide is on combination of nozzle diameter by 6 mm (D2) and spraying time 5 minutes (Ti) with amount 18,17 cm. The highest bulk density amount is on combination of nozzle diameter by 6 mm (D2) and spraying time 15 minutes (T3) with amount 1*46 gr/cm3. The highest droplet diameter amount is on combination of nozzle diameter by 6 mm (D2) and spraying time 10 minutes (T2) with amount 4,05 mm. The highest watering depth amount is on combination of nozzle diameter by 6 mm (D2) and spraying time 15 minutes (T3) with amount 20,73cm.
