Abstract

This study aims to detect hatching eggs using a motion sensor. This research was conducted at the Energy and Electrification Laboratory of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, from March to May 2019. The research was carried out with a descriptive method of testing tools and literature studies relating to sensor automation. The testing of the detecting machine and the motion sensor was carried out with three experiments over 10 seconds to get the average value of voltage (Volt), electric current (Ampere), power requirements (Watts), accuracy of sensor sensitivity, and accuracy of CCTV camera recordings. The results of an average voltage of 202.87 Volts, an electric current of 0.45 Ampere (no load), 1.85 Ampere (with a load) and the power requirements of the measurement results using the AC Power Meter 0.97 Watt (no load) 1, 48 Watt (with load).
