Abstract
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, digital learning media have been generally applied in the learning activities. Teachers’ expertise in designing and producing digital learning media is required. One of the applications that Indonesian teachers can use to produce learning media is Canva for Education which is provided by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology through the website studi.id account. To help the language teachers in Palembang to gain the advantage of this application, assistance was provided by giving a training for the Indonesian and English teachers. The training was conducted through tutorial and mentoring activities. The results of the training showed that there was an improvement in the teachers' understanding of the Canva for Education application. The average of the pre-test was 63.33, while the post-test was 90.83. The teachers were also able to design and produce learning media for various genres of text, namely complex procedure text, descriptive text, narrative text, simple procedure text, recount text, and short story text. The learning media are attractive and interesting since they have been developed by applying the features contained in the application. Since the learning media mainly focused on the conceptualization, objectives, structure, language, and examples of text, therefore, more continuous efforts need to focus on the production of learning media that can also facilitate teachers’ writing skills.
