Abstract
A research about combination of Salvinia molesta D.S. Mitchell and bacterial consortium on bioremediation of liquid waste petroleum has been done on July to August 2012 in Microbiology Laboratory Department of Biology and Chemical Analysis Laboratory Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, Sriwijaya University. The study aims to discover bioremediation capabilities combination of Salvinia molesta and a consortium bacterial in liquid waste petroleum. The experiments design used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The observed variables were bacterial numbers, the accretion dry weight of Salvinia molesta, and TPH degradation percentage. The results showed that at the end of bioremediation addition of bacterial consortium and Salvinia molesta produces the highest average of TPH degradation 99.48%, the highest average of bacterial number 5.8 x 10 (cfu/mL), and the highest average of Salvinia molesta dry weight reaches 2.807 g. 8
