Abstract
PT Bima Putra Abadi Citranusa is one of the subsidiaries of Bomba Group engaged in mining and is located in South Merapi Subdistrict, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra Province. The mining method carried out is an open-pit mining system with conventional methods of back filling digging, where excavation is carried out by way of overburden returned to the place where the gallic material has been taken (mine out). The amount of overburden production in disposal areas in September 2021 amounted to 433,498.00 bcm, while the production target was 534,078.87 bcm, so the level of ability is still below the target of 81%. In handling overburden in the disposal area using mechanical tools, namely cat type bulldozer D6R2 XL as much as 1 unit. Bulldozer performance production is affected by the effective working hours and productivity of backhoe excavators, dumptrucks and bulldozers. Bulldozers are used as tools to move soil or dumping materials that dumptrucks have brought in to be stockpiled. This research was conducted to evaluate the performance of bulldozers in PT Bima Putra Abadi Citranusa in disposal areas that have not reached the target so that no more free dump material is piled up in disposal at once to achieve work compatibility between backhoe excavators, bulldozers, and dumptrucks. The results of the study in the form of evaluation of factors inhibiting production in bulldozers such as tool working hours, dumping systems, working conditions and supervisory factors.
