Abstract

The title of this thesis is "Analysis of the function of female DPRD members in the development of regional rules in the Palembang City DPRD in 2014-2019." The existence of challenges related to the small number of female DPRD members in the legislature has prompted this study, which aims to increase the role of female DPRD members in the formulation of regional rules. This research the goal of this study is to look at the actions and roles played by female DPRD members in the preparation of regional rules in Palembang. The research approach used in this study was qualitative. This study employs Thomas R. Dye's theory, which is a derivation of David Easton's theory and consists of multiple interconnected components, including input, process, output, feedback, and environment. The findings of this study show that the analysis of the role of female DPRD members has played a role as it should, despite the fact that the number of female DPRD members in legislation is small. This does not prevent female members from cooperating with male members and can demonstrate that women are also important to be involved in legislation when it comes to the preparation of local regulations with the government and society accepting their viewpoints. Female DPRD members should be more progressive in developing regional rules on women's issues, as well as be able to continue to play a part and dare to speak their aspirations, according to the findings of this thesis
