Abstract

Studi Komunitas Makrozoobentos di Perairan Musi Sekitar Pulokerto Gandus Kota Palembang telah dilakukan pada bulan September sampai Desember 2010. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan data dasar komunitas Makrozoobentos sehubungan dengan rencana perubahan peruntukan kawasan Pulokerto menjadi kawasan pariwisata berbasis agropolitan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Purpossive Random Sampling dengan 8 stasiun pengamatan. Identifikasi sampel dilakukan di Laboratorium Fisiologi dan Taksonomi Hewan, Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Sriwijaya, Indralaya. Analisa fisika kimia substrat dasar perairan akan dilakukan di Laboratorium Tanah, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sriwijaya. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan 14 spesies makrozoobentos yang tergolong ke dalam 5 kelas, yaitu Bivalvia, Crustacea, Gastropoda, Insecta, Oligochaeta. Kepadatan berkisar antara 33-267 individu/m2. Tingkat keanekaragaman tergolong rendah, yaitu berkisar antara 0,276 hingga 0,736. Indeks dominansi berkisar antara 0,204-0,555. Struktur makrozoobentos antara 8 stasiun relatif berbeda.
