Abstract

Corn is one of the cereal crops that is quite widely consumed by the people of Indonesia. The availability of various genetic characteristics of corn makes it easier for breeders to form new populations which are benefit for variety. The study was conducted in September 2021 to January 2022. This studies were growth studies which consisted of 2 treatments and 5 replications, by the consisted of 4 plants so that there are 40 plants. And cross effort 2 treatments and 5 replications, by the consisted of 4 plants so that there are 40 plants and the total plant is 80 plants. The data obtained was analyzed using the Independent Analysis of t-Test Samples using the SPSS v.20 application. Based on the results of the ttest analysis on plant growth it can be seen that plant height and the diameter of the seedless cob showed no significant difference. While the number of leaves, stem diameter, weight of 100 seeds, length of seedless cob and weight of seedless cob and sugar content and protein levels showed significant differences. Thegrowth of both varieties of corn crops showed significant differences. As well as the result of a cross between the sweet corn of the Supersweet variety with highprotein corn of the Srikandi Kuning 1 variety produces high-protein F1 seeds.
